Karen Lee Wagner is of counsel to the Firm and has an extensive background in litigating complex matters in state and federal courts in a diverse array of fields including: Tort Litigation Defense, Construction Litigation, Municipal Law, General Liability Defense, Land Use and Development, Tax Certiorari, Medical Malpractice Defense, Appeals, Environmental Litigation and Compliance, Premises Liability, and Property Rights.
Ms. Wagner has served as counsel to a wide range of private and public sector clients including domestic and international insurance companies such as, AIG, Chubb, Cigna, Swiss Re, Traveler’s, Medical Liability Mutual, Hilton Hotels Corporation, Starwood Hotels, and governmental entities, such as the Towns of Yorktown, New Castle, and Lewisboro, the Villages of Elmsford and Briarcliff Manor, the County of Westchester, and the New York City Housing Authority.
Ms. Wagner earned her Juris Doctor from Pace University School of Law in 1992, where she was selected as Managing Editor of the Pace Environmental Law Review, and published her comment, “For Whom the Bell Tolls: Religious Properties as Landmarks Under the First Amendment,” 8 Pace Envt’l. L. Rev. 579 (1991). She earned her Bachelor of Arts at the College of the Holy Cross in 1987, having double majored in Psychology and Spanish, and also studied at La Universidad de Madrid during her junior year. Ms. Wagner is fluent in spoken and written Spanish. She is admitted to practice in New York State, 1993, and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts, in 1993 and 1996, respectively.
