RESUME
The firm of Babchik & Young was formed by Jack Babchik and Bruce Young to offer high quality legal service at reasonable rates. The principals of the firm bring nearly 40 years of experience to the firm in all phases of litigation in New York’s State and Federal Courts. Our attorneys have extensive experience in defending professionals, including doctors, lawyers, architects, engineers and brokers, and in products liability, general liability, vertical transportation, construction and labor law cases.
The firm provides personal service to the insurance industry, corporations and other select clients. With office locations in Westchester County and midtown Manhattan, we are capable of reasonably handling all litigation needs in the metropolitan area including New York City, Bronx, Brooklyn (Kings), Queens and Staten Island (Richmond), Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Putnam, Sullivan and Dutchess Counties. The firm also defends matters elsewhere in New York State and, with local counsel, in New Jersey, Connecticut and other jurisdictions.
We believe it is in the best interest of our clients to make a careful early assessment of each case, to aggressively litigate matters that require such handling and, to identify cases which warrant early resolution. Early analysis of the dispute from both a liability and damages standpoint, along with appropriate research of the law, allows us to devise cost effective and successful litigation strategies. Where appropriate, the firm will arbitrate, mediate or utilize other alternate dispute resolution forums.
The firm’s attorneys have successfully defended many cases through verdict and have extensive experience in arbitration/mediation. The firm has substantial experience in the appeals process and our attorneys have argued before the Court of Appeals and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. Our representative appeals are noted below. |
